The Spartan Trifecta is a badge of honor, earned by pushing your mind, body, and spirit to achieve greatness.
- To become a member of the Trifecta Tribe, one must complete one of each Spartan distance - Sprint, Super, and Beast.
- You can earn multiple Trifectas in a single trifecta year, however, only one lap per day, per event will count.
Trifecta Calendar Year
- The 2024 Trifecta Calendar year will run from January 1, 2024 to December 31st, 2024
- The 2023 Trifecta Calendar year will run from January 1, 2023 to December 31st, 2023
- The 2022 Trifecta Calendar year will run from November 8, 2021, to December 31, 2022
What Counts Towards the Trifecta
- A Spartan Stadion race will count as a Sprint towards the Spartan Trifecta.
- A Spartan Ultra race will count as a Beast towards the Spartan Trifecta. The entire Ultra course must be completed for it to count. Only completing half will not count as a Beast towards your Trifecta. Completion of the Ultra will count as 1 Beast towards your Trifecta.
- City Events, Hurricane Heats, Agoge, or Spartan Trail events do NOT count towards the Spartan Trifecta.
- You can complete the races in any order, the Sprint does not have to be completed first
Which Races Count Towards the Trifecta?
- Sprint, Super, and Beast events make up a Trifecta
- A Spartan Stadion race will count as a Sprint towards the Spartan Trifecta.
- A Spartan Ultra race will count as a Beast towards the Spartan Trifecta.
- Please note, that the entire Ultra course must be completed in order for it to count. Only completing half will not count as a Beast towards your Trifecta. Completion of the Ultra will count as 1 Beast towards your Trifecta.
- City Events, Hurricane Heats, Agoge, or Spartan Trail events do NOT count towards the Spartan Trifecta. However, the Hurricane Heats and Agoge can be applied towards the Spartan Delta.
- You can complete the races in any order, the Sprint does not have to be completed first.
Claiming your Trifecta:
- 1x Trifectas: There is nothing special that you will need to do to "claim" a trifecta medal, as you will earn the three pieces of it, as you complete your races during the season. Once you have your third piece, the medals will fit together to complete one big Trifecta medal.
- 2x to 5x Trifecta Medals are available on-site at the Timing Results Tent. Please complete your race, then see our results tent and/or our announcer booth to be presented with your multi-Trifecta medal.
- ABOVE 5x OR Weekend Trifecta Medals: Please fill out the below form(s) based on the location where you will earn your medal:
If you complete the form less than 30 days before your event weekend there is a possibility we will not have your medal on-site. In that case, we will ship it to you free of charge once it has arrived at our warehouse.
Merchandise
Trifecta merchandise (shirts, medal holders, etc.) will be available for sale at the merchandise tent at all events, but no additional merchandise, other than medal pieces, will be provided to Trifecta finishers.
Transition Period & Medals/Wedges
The medal wedge you receive will be based on the year in which you run that individual race. For example, if you run a Sprint in 2019 (during the transition period), that will be the same as the other 2019 medal wedges. If you run the Super and Beast in 2020, those will be the 2020 medal wedges. They may display different years, but they will still fit together to make up the Spartan Trifecta logo. There is no exchanging of wedges between years.
2x and 3x Trifecta medals will include a pouch that has a medal, lanyard, patch and delta coin. 4x and above is the medal and lanyard only.
